Mark Your Calendar for the 142nd Preakness May 19 – 20

Preakness is one of the biggest events of the spring season in the Baltimore area, and this year marks the 142nd anniversary of the famed horse race. Preakness takes place at Pimlico on May 20, 2017, and tickets can be purchased online.

Before the actual race, you might want to attend the annual Black Eyed Susie Day on May 19. The celebration is hosted by The Maryland Jockey Club, and this "Ultimate Girls Day Out" is held in partnership with The Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, which cares for Thoroughbreds following the conclusion of their racing careers. Proceeds also benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation to support women’s health.
