Sip and Swish at Pairings Bistro
For over 10 years, Pairings Bistro has been a local staple for international fare and worldly wines. In a time where many of us are traveling through food, now is the perfect time to visit. The restaurant was started by Jon Kohler after getting a culinary degree at Johnson and Wales and perfecting his art at various establishments in Maryland. When he decided to go out on his own he knew that he had to bring the flavors from his wife’s hometown, Brussels, Belgium to the area. Since then he’s been whipping up the delicious Mediterranean and Belgian flavors, impeccably paired with the perfect wines!
To start, try the stuffed portobello with bruschetta or the chef-inspired arancini. Favorite entrees are the sweet potato gnocchi with rosemary cream or the market fish bourride with creamy potato and leek broth and rouille baguette. The best part? Underneath every menu item is the sommelier-recommended wine pairing so you don’t even have to ask! Prost!
